a fiery class working into creating strength in the core and the shoulder girdle. We start by balancing the prana in the left and right hemispheres of the brain and therefore nourishing the body for practice.

A strong, energising flow working at opening on opening with the shoulders and strengthening in the legs.

Think engagement of transverse abdominals and obliques. Lengthening them, strengthening them so that they can stabilse the core and spine so that we can move with freedom and ease.

feet are stable, they support us through almost every movement in our day. In this energising class we bring awareness to the feet and open the electrical circuits of the body from the feet to the head.
Think articulation of all 26 bones of the foot as we move through the flow.
Lots of plantar and dorsiflexion as we move and articulate together.

changing movements: warrior one
A whole class devoted to how you flex at the hips. Hip flexion is a movement you’ll use throughout your life, in this mornings class we focus on creating space between the frontal hip bones and the femur bone. Moving into a flow with emphasis on Warrior 1 - think strength and long holds, softening the mind as you lean into resistance.
We finish with a delicious shoulder and glute/hip release.

awakening Manipura chakra ,our solar plexus chakra located between the navel and base of the sternum.

a strong flow focussing on hip mobilisation. We devote the practice to the goddess saraswati : goddess of knowledge, intelligence and the arts. before she was this incarnation, saraswati was a great river in India, so we move like liquid inviting in abundance.

back to basics
a stable grounding flow with emphasis on good alignment and muscle engagement. We open into the hips and pelvis and warm up the core muscles to set a good foundation for our practice.
I workshop beginner and intermediate chatarunga alignment employing the muscles of the back rather than the smaller deltoid muscles at the front of the shoulder.
We move through a fun and glute firing flow before coming into a series of backbends.

embodied vinyasa : vishuddha chakra
a warming flow awakening the throat chakra. the first of the three spiritual chakras - vishuddha chakra when open allows to speak our truth and express ourselves + intentions clearly. We mobilise the shoulders and warm up by taking some spinal rolls with core activation.
We continue moving mindfully, feeling the expansion of the chest. we work up into a peak pose of Ustrasana (camel) before releasing into a restorative inversion + and forward folds.

anahata (the heart) chakra. We mobilise the shoulders and open into the tissues on the back and front of the heart.

we finish with some challenging + opening variations of side plank (vashistasana) before releasing the shoulders and space around the heart on the front of the body.

a flow connecting your self with the lower aspects of the body. swadhisthana chakra represents our relationship to change, to letting go and inviting in creativity. We aim to evoke this energy as we move through the practice mobilising and creating space for the complex joints of the hips. we do this by firing the muscles of the core and glutes, moving into a strong flow.

we begin by taking Nadi Shodina breath to balance the left + right hemispheres of the brain and the feminine + masculine energy in the body.
we then work into internal and external rotation of the hips - with some active releases. The main flow is focussed on glute + core activation and hip opening finishing with a pose that encompasses both strength and hip flexibility being dancers pose (natarajasana).

A warming intermediate flow working sequentially at stabilising through the core. We begin by releasing the spine in all three planes of motion, then coming to some reverse tabletops to strengthen the core. A full body workout we engage glutes and continue to challenge the balance + core strength with twists and balancing poses finishing with Dancers pose (natarajasana).
