the monkey god
a challenging lvl 2 class to strengthen and lengthen the hamstring muscle group. We work up a sweat with some twists, core activation and challenging balancing poses.
we use techniques of activation and myofascial release to help use come into the peak pose of hanumanasana (full splits pose).

a strong but basic practice. We move through the body sequentially building heat particularly in the shoulders and surrounding structures in the body. I interweave self inquiry to help students to become aware of the thoughts, feelings + sensations that arise in the body.
Bringing awareness to these sensations in the hope that the practice helps you to cultivate your own inner light.

We move with the intention to unstick any layers of tension in the body and mind by shaking and using breath, completing isometric contractions toning glutes and arms. We strengthen and open the hips and the intrinsic core muscles. Moving through a strong flow finishing in 8 - limb pose.

release physical stuckness
heart, mind, hips + spinal column are all areas of the body that store tension + trauma.
In this class will rinse the body of tension and make you feel alive and energised for the day. we start with some energetic exercises to open and awaken the shoulders, glutes and to allign the body before getting in the flow of the practice. We flow into a glute firing, balancing sequence to make the body feel truly alive.
we finish with some backbends and spinal twists.

we finish with some strong inversions and exercises promoting feedback with hip-opening on the wall.

We first neutralise the pelvis and strengthen the deep core muscles before coming into a dynamic flow. Focusing on opening up facial lines and creating space in the thoracic spine.
We eventually work up to chin stand as peak pose - with other options of course.
